Our scholarship positions give students an opportunity to participate in classes and contribute to the school with means alternate to financial contribution. We ask applicants to propose a project that they would like to contribute that highlights their personal skillset – for example, we have had students offer photography for a season of classes in exchange for a class, marketing material for fundraising efforts, a zine that highlights a yearly class, garden-based projects, construction projects, and consulting in a variety of areas.
Scholarships cover a portion of tuition and lodging fees and are awarded on a first come, first served basis.
Please compose something thoughtful and earnest addressing why you are applying for this scholarship. Email your thoughts and proposal to Saralyn@thecabbageschool.net.
Feel free to consider the following questions:
What is important to you in this moment?
How would you make the most of this experience?
What would you do if you saw a mouse in the house?
