JUNE 13-17, 2018
This is a multi-disciplinary artist and maker practice class, calling together creative geeks and geniuses to encounter our autonomous authority and a rooted voice within our work. We will find ceremony, we will climb mountains, we will deep sauna and we will learn to care greatly for ourselves and one another. We will follow the threads of our own attention, notice what we notice. We will allow ourselves to be changed and we will each work on personal projects that reflect the nuances of our wild journeys. Weavers and Non-Weavers welcome!
Jessica Green is a wildcat weaver of humans and threads. Jessica lives and works in Appalachia, where the roots of weaving are deep. In making contemporary heirlooms that contribute to our craft heritage, she works to bring a threadbare history back into consideration. Jessica weaves to slow the world down.
